Providence Christian School is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence that serves preschool through eighth grade children and families.
The school’s philosophical foundation is built on Luke 2:52, “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” Our mission is to glorify God by promoting excellence in a nurturing Christian environment; by educating each child spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally; and by encouraging a lifelong commitment to God.
The state licensed preschool provides a program for 21/2 year olds through transitional Kindergarteners which includes Spanish, computers, art, Bible, story time, free play, language, science, music, chapel and flexible extended care.
The elementary school offers a challenging curriculum that includes Open Court Phonics, Saxon math, Shirley Language, Accelerated Reader, and Core Knowledge Science and Social Studies. Students also participate in six special classes: Music, Art, Computers, Spanish, Library, and Physical Education.
The middle school students participate in a rigorous curriculum that promotes and emphasizes higher level thinking, a healthy self-image, and a social learning environment. Students participate in a weekly off campus experience called Quest which provides curriculum enrichment and community service.
